Task Group S.P.O.R.

To find out about joinining TG S.P.O.R. post in the discussion forum.
To those about to fight we salute you. Welcome to SPOR (Serving the People Of Rome) and the U.S is very much the new Rome of the world. We are a MILSIM (military simulation) airsoft team. By that we mean that we require that you represent your branch of service accurately and with pride. The strong majority of us are former or even current service. This means that you will be held to a high standard in character, your look (gear system) and style of play. We have formed a team that lends itself to RECON, VIP elimination and Black Operations. We don’t wear patches; we embroider our name into your sleeve. If you are asked to leave the team or leave under dishonorable circumstance you will be asked to remove the name from your sleeve. Just as the soldiers of Rome would cut it the mark from their skin you will cut the mark from your sleeve.

REQUIREMENTS:

1.       Must be prior or current svc/ Law enforcement with an honorable discharge and be at least 18 years of age of have a parent or guardian on the team. (There are some exceptions to this rule that the SPOR command staff can vote in non svc members.)

2.       Must own and maintain accurate gear and combat load out for the service and period (era, i.e. WWI WWII, KOREA, NAM, NOW) you wish to represent. (Weapon, uniform, boots, tactical gear and badging.)

3.       Must represent an U.S organization, ARMY, NAVY, AIR FORCE, MARINES, COAST GUARD, FBI, CIA, Private contractor and SWAT.

4.       Must own and play with sealed eye wear (NO EXEPTIONS) and we recommend a mouth guard.

5.       Must own your own weapons at least when you start but you can buy your gear as you go within a reasonable amount of time. (This can be very expensive so make sure you want to go this route with you airsoft career.)

6.       We would like you to form your arsenal to your role. I.E if you are a grenadier you shouldn’t be buying sniper rifles. All team positions must be approved by SPOR command staff.

7.       Call signs will be assigned, unless you an established member of another D7 team and you transfer in.

8.       We will rewire you weapons to DEAN connectors at no cost to you so that your weapon can use any other battery on the team.

9.       OPFOR gear load out should be as accurate as your SPOR load out only for that country and svc group. (This is not required gear but it is nice to roll on both sides and roll well.)

10.   You must either have a SPOR sponsor or play in random weekly game for a six month period before you can petition for membership. If you are accepted you will go into a 6 month probationary period after that you are S.P.O.R.

11.    We reserve the right to refuse membership to anyone at any time.

12.   Attendance is important if you can’t make our team games, meeting, briefings and fun days (range days, poker nights, movie nights and other team functions) then we are not for you.

13.   Weapon requirements and limits. CQB guns 270-350 FPS (feet per second), field rifles 330-400 FPS, DMR (designated marksman rifle) 400-450 and sniper rifles 450-550 FPS. USE THE CORRECT WEAPON FOR THE CORRECT JOB. ALL GUNS ARE CHRONOGRAPHED AT ALL EVENTS AND AT TIME OF JOINING.

14.   No plastic .12 gr (Wal-Mart BB’s allowed).

15.   Team business is team business we don’t talk about some of the shoots we do because of the sensitive nature of the training. What you can talk about is anything that promotes and shines a positive light on the sport.

16.   Always help others with advice and information, especially the little ones to play safe and be considerate to others.

17.   We must maintain a low profile with our equipment, gun bags and equipment cases must be used whenever possible.

18.   WE ARE NOT A MILITIA AND CANNOT AND WILL NOT BE ASSOCIATED WITH ANY ORGANIZATION THAT HAS PLANS TO OVERTHROW THE ELECTED GOVERNMENT OR CAUSE HARM TO OTHERS. (HOWEVER IN CASE OF A ZOMBI APOCOLYPSE OR AN ALIEN INVASION “LET’S GET READY TO RUMBLE”.)

19.   LAST BUT NOT LEAST HAVE FUN. We all want to have the best experience possible. To do this it takes teamwork, honesty and integrity. Planning of great operations to create an environment that fosters fair play and a realistic combat experience is all of our responsibility. Know that if you get hit and you call it, that there are 15-20 more right behind it “Don’t get mad” it is just part of the game. So welcome to the suck and know that when it sucks you should wish it could suck more. Only then are you playing AIRSOFT.
